The nuts:
Copywriter. Travel freak. Oyster aficionado. Nervous flyer. Wine lover. Especially when flying.

The bolts:
To be honest, I’m not sure how I ended up in advertising. Which renders me useless to kids wondering how to break in to the field. But here I am 14 years in, after side trips into journalism, aimless global wandering and questionable odd jobs.

These include working at a Waikiki youth hostel, getting paid to drink beer at Australian nightclubs and making waffle cones on a hot beach, as well as a stint as a TV arts & entertainment correspondent. But the oddest job, by far, has been advertising. Not that I’m complaining.

I’ve worked in digital, print, TV & video, radio, experiential, social media, packaging design and a lot of things that fall between. They each need their own kind of TLC, and I enjoy them all. Hopefully you will too.
